• UCSD competes in Natcar competition in 2004, and students get class credit (ECE 192) for participation
• Yan Zheng wins the student leadership award for reviving IEEE from 2004-2005 by getting more students with national competition projects
• Triton Junkyard Derby: IEEE wins most stylish car for the 'IEEE Hummer'
