Volunteer at the San Diego Science Festival!

Saturday 04/04/09, 10:30 am
Balboa Park

UCSD IEEE will be hosting an exhibit called Danger, Will Robinson! at this year's First Annual San Diego Science Festival. The month-long festival will end with Expo Day at Balboa Park, where 200 organizations will be hosting over 300 different hands-on activities! We need as many volunteers as possible so that we can make IEEE's participation in the event a success.

Our exhibit will teach you all about robots-- how they work, what we use them for, and how they have affected our lives-- through interactive hands-on demonstrations. We will be building boxing robots and solar-powered race cars, and compete with them in tournaments throughout the day. We will also be holding a circuit building demonstration, where you'll actually get to build basic circuits on a breadboard that can light up LED's and play music. It should be a day of fun for everyone!
