Everything You Know About Wireless Is About to Change which for most of us is associated with the cell-phone . Everything beyond that around us in old Wired World is undergoing a rapid change in terms of networks, devices/boxes and in terms of technologies. BIOGRAPHY

Upkar Dhaliwal is CEO/Founder at Future Wireless Technologies; a Consultancy providing over 20 years of hands-on wireless circuits and system design experience. A Professional Chartered Engineer, a Senior Wireless & RF System Architect/Executive industry expert serving on numerous industrial/technical bodies. At present he has been undertaking Application, Intellectual Property, Business Development and Technical advisor support for Present and Future Wireless Technologies & product development for Start-ups, OEM/ODM, Market Leaders and private investment equity customers. These products include Wireless Medical Gateway, Wireless Medical Modules, Smart Grid Wireless, Cognitive Radios and Smart PA/transmitters. He has been building up experience in WIMAX, WRAN, SUN, UWB and BAN technical and business solutions which have included 802 WG Voting status and industry activities for 4G, All this involves very close customer engagements for architecture/IP strategies, specifications and chipsets in Wireless Communications. He has worked for STMicroelectronics in a joint design team with NOKIA Mobile, for QUALCOMM for 8 years thru the 2/3G –CDMA/UMTS era, for SAMSUNG Telecom for early GSM, for Matra Marconi Space Systems in Early Mobile Satellite Systems and Space Observation systems and with Thorn-EMI Electronics in Defense Electronics, providing many world class firsts. Upkar Dhaliwal received a B.S Honors Electrical and Electronics Engineering Leeds University, a M.Sc. Microwaves, RF and Modern Optics from University College London. He is a C.Eng ECUK, Member of IEE/IET, a Senior member of IEEE, Chair of IEEE San Diego Section PACE Professional and Chair of IEEE San Diego Legislative Affairs, and Past San Diego Chapter Chair of IEEE AP, ED, MTT and SSC. At present he is involved in IEEE IMS2010 Symposium Anaheim Steering Committee as Finance Chair. A Past Finance Chair of IEEE RWS2006 Symposium San Diego. Upkar has served on Technical Program Review Committees of IEEE Radio Wireless Symposium, IEEE Asia-Pacific Microwave Conference, IEEE Aerospace Conference. At present is the IEEE MTT-S TCC-20 Wireless Communication, Technical Coordination Committee Chair and Member of the newly formed MTT-S TCC-24 RFID. Upkar also serves on Executive Committees of ICUWB, Past UCSD PA Workshop Symposium and International Microwave Workshop Series on RF Front-ends for Software Defined and Cognitive Radio Solutions.
